Sarah Paine on Eurasia

Comment on Sarah Paine geopolitics lecture posted on or before 2026-07-08 @ 18:30:

Whoever tries to conquer the Eurasian continent needs a very large population of cooperating peoples to occupy, police, administer and control it. Germany is almost entirely landlocked, has far too few people and even after 81 years since the last time they tried it, a goodwill rating of essentially 0. According to Sun Tzu, goodwill (“moral estimates”) are the first thing a country needs before considering military action, which is symptomatically the last thing a psychopath like Hitler cares about. Since the 9AD Teutoborg ambush, Germania has never really risen to the level of a benevolent, eclectic, Rome-like power, though they were well on course to do so during the enlightenment movement in the 19th century. That was called the Concert of Europe, which didn’t stand a chance against the unbridled rise of nationalism which, like the cultural revolution in China and the rise of MAGA in the US, drove away their best and let their worst into power. It falls on the US to solve this problem by adding more “iron” to Old Ironsides in the form of psychopathological criteria for eligibility to public office. Private office too but first things first.
